Forefather Membership Application Process Revised

	Forefather Membership Application Process Revised Effective April 1, 2011, the new Forefather membership application posted on The Swedish Colonial Society’s website, www.colonialswedes.org/Forefathers/FFApp.html will be the only version acceptable. No prior versions of the application forms will be accepted after that date. Also, the one-time application fee going forward will be $60 per application. Please note the minor changes in the application‘s format. We are also encouraging membership in the Society by allowing children or grandchildren of a dues-paying Forefather member to become Forefather members for a reduced fee of only $30. All Forefather membership applicants must be current dues-paying members of The Swedish Colonial Society. The fee for active membership is $30 annually and the application can be accessed at the following website www.colonialswedes.org/Members/MemApp.html Swedish ancestry is not required for active membership status - only an interest in the colonial history of our nation. The Society will review all applications and will notify the applicants when they are approved. Forefather applications may be returned with requests for further documentation. Approved applicants will receive a certificate from the Society attesting their status as Forefather members.
